Make yourself at home in the Turn 1 grandstand, which provides magnificent views as the vehicles surge around the first curve before braking hard and blasting into Turns 2 and 3. You'll also get a wonderful view of the start, when you can anticipate plenty of sparks to fly as the cars take off.
If you want to experience Singapore at its most vibrant, there's no better time than when Formula 1 comes in the city's center. Take a ride on the Singapore Flyer, a gigantic Ferris wheel that overlooks the track's permanent pits complex, to get a sense of the place before diving into Singapore's fantastic bar and restaurant scene. Cocktail connoisseurs should definitely pay a visit to the world-famous Raffles Hotel, which is the birthplace of the Singapore Sling (non-alcoholic versions are available!).
